OPTION 1:
Turn off Recent Items in Windows 10’s Settings app. Open “Settings” and click on the Personalization icon.
When you turn off recent items and frequent places, it will clear all recent items from jump lists and File Explorer. Items you pinned, however, will stay in place until you manually unpin them.
This did it for me. Thank you very much!!

OPTION 2:
Open regedit and browse here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell
then delete the entire BagMRU and Bags folder. Reboot.
This setting is to do with Explorer display settings. They get corrupted and FOBAR Explorer.
